News editorial policy

Challecious News publishes short, original summaries of public events, with Zambian stories first and international stories after. We publish three editions a day at 09:00, 14:00 and 19:00 Central Africa Time (Africa/Lusaka).

How a story is checked

  • A story is published only when at least two genuinely independent reporting sources have been opened and examined. Two outlets carrying the same wire report count as one source.
  • Every story lists the specific articles or documents we used, and keeps a record of which claim each source supports.
  • Where sources disagree, we say so and do not pick a side without evidence.
  • Each story states what remains uncertain.

Stories we hold for human review

These are never published automatically: contradictory reports, serious allegations against named people, disputed elections, sensitive personal information, stories involving minors, graphic material, and high-impact medical, financial, security or conflict claims.

Our own writing

We summarise in our own words and link to the original reporting. We do not copy articles.
